Safety & documents

Boehmite SDS / TDS center

Use CAS 1318-23-6 to locate safety and technical documentation, but obtain the SDS for the exact commercial grade you purchase.

Important: an SDS is supplier- and product-specific. Surface treatments, additives, moisture, mixtures and jurisdictional classifications can change the document. Boehmite.org therefore does not invent a “universal SDS”.

Documents to request before purchase

SDS — Safety Data Sheet

Identity, hazards, first aid, fire response, accidental release, handling/storage, exposure controls, physical data, stability, toxicology, transport and regulatory information.

TDS — Technical Data Sheet

Grade-specific purity, particle size, BET, pH, moisture, morphology and suggested applications.

COA — Certificate of Analysis

Batch-specific test results. For high-value battery grades, ask how representative sampling is performed.

Phase / impurity evidence

XRD for phase identity; ICP/OES or equivalent for trace metals; magnetic contamination data where relevant.

Primary identity reference

PubChem: Boehmite (Al(OH)O), CID 73982, CAS 1318-23-6.

Supplier document workflow

  1. Choose a specific supplier and grade.
  2. Request current SDS, TDS and representative COA.
  3. Confirm revision date and destination-country regulatory format.
  4. Check that CAS, product name and any surface treatment match the quotation and label.
  5. For battery use, request PSD, XRD, trace metals and magnetic impurity data.
  6. Archive the approved documents with the supplier qualification record.
